Des Moines, Iowa-based AccessAir, which plans to use Colorado Springs as a stopover on transcontinental flights, was denied the opportunity to use LaGuardia Airport in New York. AccessAir was one of several airlines denied the slot for use of the airport. The airline said it will attempt to lease slots from other airlines instead. AccessAir still awaits certification from the Federal Aviation Administration to fly. It eventually wants offer daily flights from Colorado Springs to New York and Los Angeles.
