Bettina Swigger

Bettina Swigger helped build the Colorado College Summer Festival of the Arts into an internationally known multidisciplinary festival that grabbed the attention of The New York Times.
Between 2005 and 2007, she served as publicity chairwoman for the statewide Colorado Music Alliance. In this position she coordinated the entire Mozart at 250 celebration involving numerous local organizations and events.
Swigger was selected as the first executive director for the region’s first cultural affairs office. She manages fund development campaigns and writes grants while overseeing operations of the nonprofit office serving El Paso and Teller counties.
Her board experience includes the Colorado Springs Diversity Forum, Imagination Celebration Leadership Council and Pikes Peak Arts Council.
She is married to Aaron Retka.
