James Dodd has accepted a position with Cheyenne Village as the events and volunteer coordinator. He is responsible for all Cheyenne Village events as well as managing the volunteer program. Dodd is currently serving a four-year term on the City of Colorado Springs Human Relations Commission, and is an ambassador to the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.

NavPoint Real Estate Group, a Colorado-based commercial real estate Services and Investment firm with offices in Castle Rock, Denver and Colorado Springs, announced the addition of John Witt, LEED AP BD+C as a member of the brokerage services division at the firm. Witt will service new and existing clients primarily in the Colorado Springs market. He will work with landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers to assist with their leasing, sales and property/asset management needs. Witt earned a degree in construction management and mathematics from Colorado State University.

Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs has appointed Jamee Haines as its new vice president of human resources and organizational development. Haines was chosen following an extensive candidate search and has 18 years of human resource management experience with high-growth, start-up companies and large Fortune 500 firms. Her new position at Goodwill includes administration over all areas of human resources — including recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, talent management, and employee training and development.

The Space Foundation announced an addition to its leadership team, former NASA astronaut Leroy Chiao, Ph.D., will serve in the newly-created position of Space Foundation Special Advisor — Human Spaceflight. Chiao flew on three Space Shuttle flights, a Russian Soyuz flight and was the commander of International Space Station Expedition 10, where he lived onboard the ISS from Oct. 13, 2004, to April 24, 2005. Chiao, who is based in Houston, will begin his work with the Space Foundation this month and will participate significantly in the annual National Space Symposium, to be presented by the Space Foundation, April 16-19 at The Broadmoor Hotel.

Jim Brummett, president of Source Business Systems, a Colorado Springs business management software and consulting company, announced that is merging its ERP software customer list with Boston-based BrainSell Technology, Inc. This customer list merger will give the firm a strategic relationship with BrainSell and gives the firm an opportunity to provide clients with an even broader level of sales and support for business management software products and services and provide customers access to BrainSell’s national team of ERP and CRM & Marketing Automation sales and support consultants.

Brad N. Whitten, CPA, CVA has joined Erickson, Brown & Kloster, P.C. as a staff accountant and has four years experience in public accounting.
