Abacus Solutions Group named Scott Albertson of Colorado Springs as its new president. Albertson is a retired Navy captain and experienced corporate leader with more than 35 years of combined military and industry leadership experience.

Peak View Behavioral Health announced Lana Currance, RN, MSN, MHA, as their new chief executive officer. Currance’s experience includes more than 20 years in clinical leadership management roles in acute behavioral health settings, medical hospitals and public and private health care entities. Currance has a master’s degree in nursing and health care administration and a bachelor’s in nursing, both from the University of Phoenix, and an associate of applied science in nursing and in business from Arapahoe Community College.

Ent Federal Credit Union hired Jessica Hernandez as a junior investment representative with Ent Investment Services. Hernandez brings several years of financial services experience to her role, most recently as a brokerage assistant with Wells Fargo.

John L. Bender, M.D., FAAFP, was sworn in as the 2013-2014 president of the Colorado Medical Society at the organization’s 143rd annual meeting in Vail on Sept. 21. The Colorado Medical Society is the largest physician organization in the state, representing more than 7,500 physicians, physicians-in-training and medical students. Bender practices family medicine in Fort Collins.

Nohemy Montes created the Montes Group working in a branch of the Millennium Financial Group. Montes specializes in retirement planning. She earned an economics degree from Colorado State University-Pueblo and a law degree from the University of Chihuahua-Law School.

Zane Whitfield, broker associate, joined The Wheaton Team at RE/MAX Properties Inc. of Colorado Springs. Whitfield specializes in expert buyer representation through all phases of new and resale purchases.

Care and Share Food Bank welcomes Brandy Williams as its new board member, beginning in April. Williams is a Colorado Springs native with a background in civil engineering.

Mary Alvaran has been promoted to service center manager at Ent Federal Credit Union’s Mountain Bell location. Alvaran brings more than 30 years of financial services experience to her role, most recently as supervisor for Ent’s Centennial Service Center.
