American National Bank is shortening its name to ANB Bank.
The name change will happen Dec. 30, said Donald Sturm, chairman and CEO of American National Bank.
“We’re matching our new name with the more innovative banking services we’re bringing to our customers,” Sturm said. “We will continue to be the locally owned bank we always have been. Our people, locations and our personalized service will continue to be right here, to serve our customers.”
The bank has other plans in the works including online account opening and better mobile banking, said Koger Propst, American National Bank president.
“Our new name is simpler, and is the way that many of our customers and communities already think of us,” Propst said. It’s also our existing website address.”
The bank has assets of more than $l.7 billion and has 36 banking centers in Colorado and Wyoming. The bank is a member of the Sturm Financial Group, a privately-owned Colorado bank holding company. The holding company also owns Premier Bank, located in Kansas and Missouri.
