2017 Rising Stars

amy-gillentine
Amy Gillentine Sweet, Editor & COO

Inside these pages, you’ll learn about 25 young professionals who are the current — and future — leaders of the Colorado Springs business community.

From nonprofit stars to entrepreneurs, from those just starting out to those who have made it to the C-suite — these are people you need to meet.

This year’s committee members had their work cut out for them. They had to winnow the nominations from nearly 70 received (a CSBJ record) to 25 winners. The committee chose the winners based on activity in their companies, engagement in the community and the letters included in their nomination packets. They have all worked to improve their business, but each one also has been a shining star for the city as a whole.

Events like these can’t happen without the support of the business community. Thank you to Stockman Kast Ryan + Co., Accelerated Wealth, Kaiser Permanente and Revolution Jewelry for sponsoring this event — and for showing the city’s young professionals that they are valued and important to the future of Colorado Springs.

Also a special thank you to Rampart High School for letting us shoot photos on loction — and to Allison Daniell for the outstanding photos. Congratulations Rising Stars Class of 2017.
