From their new downtown office on the second floor of the historic Hibbard & Co. building, Camille and Kyle Blakely overlook a couple of skyscrapers and America’s Mountain. Spectacular views, however, aren’t all they command.
With core clientele including UCCS, Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado, City of Cripple Creek, City of Manitou Springs, Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival, Northstar Bank Colorado, Eclipse Private Jet, Colorado Springs Utilities, and Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department — just to name a few, Blakely & Co. has been successful by any measure.
But with its recent move from South Cascade Avenue to the heart of downtown on Tejon Street and the launch this quarter of an automotive division headed by Account Manager Lisa Furlong, the company is poised for accelerated growth and increased visibility this year as Blakely Automotive works with local, regional and national clients.
After doubling the size of their staff last year and their recent move, Camille Blakely, partner and president, said the company is “poised to handle more complex, larger clients as well as maintaining our priority of working with small- and medium-sized clients.”
She said the new space not only gives the company a central location in which to better serve its clients, but also gives them plenty of room to grow, “allowing us to accomplish our goal of propelling our marketing firm to the next level.”
Not only that, but Blakely & Co. has deep local roots. Camille Blakely graduated from Colorado College, and she and Kyle Blakely, owner, have raised their family and worked in the Pikes Peak Region for more than 25 years. In addition, they serve on many community boards, donating hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars each year to local programs and nonprofits.
“It’s an honor to be recognized and validated for our work,” Camille Blakely said. “We attribute our success to our team that works beside us every day to make sure we’re doing quality work for our clients.”
With eight employees plus contractors, the full-service agency offers a wide range of marketing services, including video/audio production, public relations, media research and brand strategy.
In the last six months, the company has landed 10 new clients, including IntelliTec Medical Institute, Peak Vista Community Health Centers, Johnny Martin’s Car Central and the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance.
Keep a watch on this company — there’s more to come this year. Kyle Blakely said the new automotive division will create a lot of potential for the company. “It will be the first time we’ve really put an emphasis on that industry. We feel like it’s a pretty strong opportunity — with three to four people on our staff who have extensive experience in that industry.”
In terms of growth, he expects the company to see at least 20 to 30 percent revenue growth in 2014, based on new accounts and clients spending more this year.
