Nor’Wood Development Group started construction last week on the second of three recently announced apartment projects.
The North Pointe Apartments near the intersection of Rockrimmon Boulevard and Delmonico Street will include 260 one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
“The first of the buildings will be delivered late next spring,” said Nor’Wood vice president Steve Sharkey.
The complex will include a full array of amenities, including a business center, swimming pool, fitness center and children’s play area, Sharkey said.
The units will include high-end finishes and will be comparable to the 315-unit First & Main Town Center Apartments the developer started construction earlier this year.
The primary difference between the two properties will be the exterior finishes, Sharkey said. While the First & Main complex will be designed to fit in with the commercial center around it, the North Pointe Apartments will have a more residential feeling.
Sharkey said Nor’Wood is working on development plans for its next project near Woodmen Road and Powers Boulevard. He said he expects to submit the first round of paperwork in late June and to take it to the planning commission by September.
