Penrose-St. Francis Health Services recently earned an award for its support of its National Guard and Reserve employees.
The Pro Patria award is given to companies for “exceptional leadership, support and personal devotion.” The hospital will receive the award at the 2012 Colorado Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves award banquet May 4.
“Colorado Springs has a proud reputation of being a “military town” and many of our associates have ties to the military,” said Margaret Sabin, president and CEO of Penrose-St. Francis. “Approximately 225 PSF associates are veterans and several of them are still active in the Colorado National Guard and Reserve components. We value their service and support them in many ways, especially while they’re deployed around the globe away from their families.”
